2005 Geographe Chardonnay

Capel Vale's CELLAR EXCLUSIVE wines are limited releases of exceptional varietal wines, developed at the "cutting edge" of viticulture in the cool climate vineyards of Western Australia married with modern wine making techniques used to exemplify the unique flavours and aromas from these grapes.

This wine was picked at varying degrees of ripeness resulting in flavours ranging from peach and grapefruit through to melon, fig and hazelnuts. Fashioned using modern and traditional methods of winemaking, this wine displays fresh fruit in addition to the complexity derived from barrel fermentation, time on yeast lees and 12 months maturation in oak barriques. The finish is crisp and dry with a pronounced lingering aftertaste. This is a full flavoured wine that maintains its elegance and tightness on the palate.
