Pemberton

Capel Vale's Pemberton vineyard is situated on fertile, deep karri loams, which produce fruit of outstanding flavour and complexity.

Situated directly south of Capel on the Darling Plateau, Pemberton experiences a significant cooling influence from the Southern Ocean, but summer days are warm. The region has one of the highest rainfalls in the South West, which feed into the streams that flow all year round, providing the vineyard with pure, high quality water.

A premium cool climate viticultural region producing elegant flavours and wines of note.

The Pemberton area is enjoying increasing acclaim as a premium cool climate viticultural region producing elegant flavours and wines of note. Sauvignon Blanc, Semillon and Pinot Noir varieties thrive in this region.

Pemberton is a true cool climate region in Western Australia and in some years it is April before harvest begins. Rainfall generally falls throughout winter and spring, with significant thunderstorms during summer. One of the most important aspects of these region's climate is the regular afternoon cloud cover that further reduces the intensity of solar radiation.
